Marilyn Gudger

Marilyn Gudger, 65, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019. Marilyn was a retired pre-school teacher and was a self-employed caretaker. She was loved by many and loved spending time with family and friends. Marilyn was considered the backbone of the family, who helped so many. One thing Marilyn endeared was the frequent visits from her niece Tammy and William Talley. She also cherished the Greenburg family and was thankful for their love, support, and care throughout the years.

Marilyn was born on June 23, 1953 in Parrottsville, Tennessee to Tom "Pete" and Flossie (Robinson) Allen. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Charles E Allen.

Marilyn is survived by her loving Husband of 50 years Johnny Gudger, daughters, Monica Gudger, and Shelia Johnson, sons, John Gudger and Match Gudger, grandchildren, Ashley Gudger, Dwight Gudger, Dustin Gudger, April Gudger, Cortez Johnson, Corea Lee, JaIonna Gudger, Jaden Gudger, and Dionna Means. Marilyn is also survived by her brother, George (Josephine) Allen, sister, Betty Haney, sister, Carolyn (Albert) Davis, sister, Barbara Allen, sister, Bernice Allen, sister, Windy Allen, brother, Corlus (Robin) Allen, brother, Roscoe (Judy) Allen. Marilyn also leaves behind a host of great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Friday April 19, 2019 from 10 am until 12 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions Southwest Chapel. Memorial Services will be held on Friday April 19, 2019 at 12 pm at Newcomer, Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions Southwest Chapel.
