Marilyn Campbell

Marilyn M. (McKown) Campbell, 73, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011 at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and neighbor, Marilyn retired from the U.S. Census Bureau and was a lifelong member of the Martinsburg Church of Christ in Martinsburg, Indiana.

Marilyn was born on December 4, 1937 in Washington County to the late Cecil and Gladys (Purlee) McKown. She is also preceded in death by her son, Craig Campbell, and brother.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Edward Lee Campbell; sons, Danny Campbell and Darren Campbell (Jena), all of Pekin; grandchildren, Amanda, Daylon, and Kacey; and great grandchild, Maya.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Thursday in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150) with burial to follow at Martinsburg Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Martinsburg Church of Christ (4505 East Borden Road, Pekin, IN 47165).
