Marilee Roche Edmunds

Marilee Roche Edmunds, 95, died July 23, 2022 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born April 29, 1927, in Southland, Texas to William and Emma Goodman Crisp. After graduating from Slaton High School, she worked for the Santa Fe Railroad until her marriage to William Lundy Roche on July 5, 1945. She and Bill had four children. Marilee was active in her children's activities like Girl and Boy Scouts, Future Homemakers, and Future Farmers. She raised and canned from her large garden and helped with the farming. She loved traveling, puzzles, and games; it was amazing how fast she could count the spots on dominos and dice. She was well loved and well liked.

Bill Roche died in 1985 and Mother was blessed to find a second love, a man she went to High School with in Southland, Charles M. Edmunds. They married in 1992. After Charles died in 2016, she asked her daughter Kale to live with her. All her children and grandchildren enjoyed regularly visiting her at the farm. When she needed more care, we moved Mom to Louisville, Kentucky in 2021, to be near her eldest daughter.

She is survived by her children, Lundie Dyer, Vicki Vogel, Kale Williams, and Tom Roche, along with 8 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She will be interred near her husbands in Slaton, Texas at a later date.
