Marietta DeGrella Bowman, 58, of Charlestown, IN, passed away December 21, 2012 in her home. She was born in Louisville, KY on October, 28, 1954. Marietta graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville, KY.
Marietta was very passionate in her life. Her love for her floral collection and the ability to make other people smile were her best characteristics. She always believed hard work was the answer for success in life. She was very loving to the people close in her life. She had an uncanny ability of lifting spirits for people even during their worse days. To put it simply she always cared.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles "Buddy" and Etta DeGrella, her brother, Steve DeGrella and close friend Van "Freddy" Halcomb.
She is survived by her son, Nicholas (Alexandra) Bowman, and siblings, Charles(Kate) DeGrella, Michael (Sharon) DeGrella, Sharon (Mickey) DeWitt, Debbie (Charlie) Bischoff, and Drew DeGrella.
Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with visitation starting at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
