Marie Miller (Lanning) White, 69, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away at home peacefully under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Marion County on January 7th, 2013.
She attended Christ the King grade school and Loretto high school. She began her working career with the Courier-Journal and had worked during the evolution of data communication systems within the newspaper industry, digitizing their previously printed archives. Marie went to nursing school as a second career and retired as a senior care center administrator, she has spent the last ten years residing in Ocala, Fl. She enjoyed dancing, bingo and playing cards.
She was preceded in death by her parents Margaret Leona and Rudolph Miller.
She is survived by her beloved husband,William White, children Amy Lanning Palazzo (Tony), and Andrew Lanning, (Christine), Karen White Karl (Kenny), Terri White Thomas, Craig White and grandchildren Jake Lanning, Joseph, Madelyn, Lauren Palazzo, Katie, Kenny, Kassidy Karl, Joshua Thomas and great-grandchildren Penelope Lewis, and Ashlynn Lanning. Two sisters, Barbara Craft (Bob), Nancy Struck (Bill), and four brothers, Philip (Ali), Joe (Kelli), Bernard (Linda)and Leo Miller.
A celebration of her life will be Sunday, January 13, 2013, 6PM. Visitation Starting at 2 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243.
