Marie (Jent) Adams, 90, of New Albany, Indiana, formerly of Hazard, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013.
She was born on January 5, 1923 in Hazard to the late John F. and Laura (Combs) Jent. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jessie C. Adams; daughter, Laura Lee Blair; grandsons, Carl Wilson, Eddie Blair, Bobby and Christopher Adams.
She is survived by her children, David Adams (Mary), Gayle Wilson, Sharon Shuck (Eddie), Mike Adams (Teresa); special family friend, Wilma Carlisle; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 1 to 7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 7 PM at the funeral home with additional services to follow at Maggard's Mountain View Chapel (352 Roy Campbell Drive, Hazard) on Saturday, October 5, 2013. Burial will take place in McKinley-Adams family cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana F.O.P. Foundation, Inc. (1417 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46201).
