Maribel Ruiz Jimenez

Maribel Ruiz Jimenez, 43, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away in an automobile accident on Thursday, May 26, 2022. She was a strong woman, dedicated and devoted to her family. Maribel was selfless, always putting others before herself. She possessed a hard work ethic and was a longtime employee of Golden Corral in Clarksville.

She was born on December 1, 1978, in Michoacan, Mexico. Maribel is survived by her children, Gabriel Gutierrez (Analilia), Oscar Gutierrez (Fatima Nova), Emely Gutierrez (Melvin Herrarte), Arizbeth Gutierrez, Guadalupe Cruz, Elizabeth Cruz, Anahi Cruz, and Jahir Cruz; grandchildren, Gael Gutierrez, Gabriel Gutierrez, Jr., and Saul Gutierrez; companion, Carlos Cruz; and brother, Jaime Ruiz Jimenez.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church (415 E. Eighth Street, New Albany) with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
