Maria Jolene Miller

Maria Jolene Miller, a beacon of generosity and warmth, left this world on November 16, 2024 at Baptist Floyd Hospital. Born on March 4, 1955, Maria exemplified what it meant to live with a deeply caring spirit, often putting the needs of others before her own. Her life touched many, and her absence will be profoundly felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

As a passionate mushroom hunter, Maria often wandered into the forest, delighted by the treasures she would discover. She had a particular fondness for oysters, which brought her immense pleasure, as did her evenings spent watching television's classic shows. Her love for family was paramount in her life.

Maria was a wonderful mother to her three children, Christina (Jimmie) Elam, Randy Farmer, and Charles Farmer. In addition to her children, Maria is also survived by her grandchildren, Narissa Baker (Ryan), Stormie Wiggins (Sean), Charles Farmer (Grace), Gracie Farmer (Austin), Jace Patton, Brad Farmer, Destiny Heaven (Jessie), and Emma Brooks; Seven great-grandchildren; Siblings, Bobby, Sharon (Chuck), Mike, David, Jeannie (Chris), Lydia (Tony), Judy (Claude), Eddie, and Jayne (Charley); and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Brett Miller; Parents, James and Alma Small; grandson, Bryce Wiggins; and siblings, Ruby, Linda and Donna.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life during the visitation from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and the funeral service immediately following at 4:00 PM on November 24, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
