Margie Gail Blanton

Margie Gail Blanton (née Westerfield), age 66, entered her eternal rest Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in Louisville, Kentucky. Margie was born March 21, 1955 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Lewis Laverne Westerfield and Alice Barlow Westerfield. Margie graduated from Manual High School, Indianapolis, in 1973 and attended Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa. She was formerly a member of Grace Baptist Church in Indianapolis. Margie was a manager at McDonald's in Louisville, Kentucky until 2009 and was a current member of Minors Lane Baptist Church in Louisville. Margie was proceeded in death by her parents, Lewis Laverne and Alice Westerfield and her brother Mark Westerfield.

Margie is survived by her husband, Jerry Blanton; son, Jerry Carl Blanton; and grandchildren, Eli and Gwen Blanton all of Louisville, Kentucky. Margie is also survived by her sisters, Martha Silvers of Indianapolis, Indiana, Margaret Shalter of Jasper, Indiana, brothers, Michael (Cindy) Westerfield of Indianapolis, Indiana, Milton (Laura) Westerfield of Fishers, Indiana, and five nephews, three nieces and many great-nephews and nieces; and a host of relatives and friends.

A service celebrating Margie's life will be held at Minors Lane Baptist Church, 8907 Shepherdsville Rd., Louisville, KY on April 27 at 11:00am. Masks will be required at the service.
