Margaret O. Purcell

Margaret O. Purcell, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Margaret was a loving mom, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a hard working woman who owned her own business Margaret's Tavern her whole life. She was always loving and caring, a wonderful cook, loved to sew, and enjoyed her hummingbirds.

She was born on February 3, 1936 in Jamestown, Kentucky to George and Nora (Lawless) Snow. She is preceded in death by her Father, George Washington Snow, Mother, Nora Mae Snow, Husband, William Edward Purcell, Siblings, Lee Snow, Will Snow, George Snow, Gyln Snow, and Margie Snow.

Margaret is survived by her loving family, Daughters, Marketta S. (David) Blake, Judy L. (Randall) Puckett, and Jenny L. (Charles) Peterson; Son, Mark S. (Kimberly) Blankenship; Grandchildren, Jimmy (Janell) Blake, Jr., Susan (Todd) Wethington, Tina (Chad) Beck, Mark Caswell, Sandra (Jason) Tomes, Matt (Tracy) Bowling, Jay Mills, Chris (Amber) Mills, Glenn Mills, Ashley (Carl) Peterson, and Leah (Garrett) Peterson; 40+ Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Virginia (Nelson) Grider, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish her memory forever.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 12:30 pm on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
