Margaret Tyler Pound

Margaret Tyler Pound, 96, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024.

She was born on March 21, 1927 in Fern Creek, Kentucky to the late Claude and Leona (Haag) Tyler. She is also preceded in death by her husband, John Pound Jr.; daughter-in-law, Faith Ross Pound; siblings, Mary Catherine Tyler, Leslie Claude Tyler and Frances Marie Markwell.

Margaret is survived by her loving children, Marcia (Rex) Prather, Keith Pound, Phyllis (Joe) Gribbins, Fonda Carey and Kenneth (Diana) Pound; seven grandchildren, Emilie (Philip) Yochim, Josh (Krystal) Pound, Brent (Dana) Gribbins, Jonathan Gribbins, Christopher Gribbins, Katie (Jay) Rankin and Tyler Carey; thirteen great-grandchildren, Hannah, Ross, Ezra, James, Cora Belle, Eva, Valarie, Juliane, Isadora, Dannalyn, Felix, Kylee, Wyatt; and sister, Betty Jo Graff. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243) with private burial at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Margaret's memory be made to the Edward Tyler Family Cemetery Fund or Woodland Bible Camp in the care of Phyllis Gribbins.
