Margaret Ilean Foster

Margaret Ilean Foster, age 83 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Norton Audubon Hospital. She was born on August 17, 1939 in Eddyville, Kentucky to the late Willie Clarence Moore and Eliza Mae Groomes Burth. Margaret graduated from Central High School and the University of Louisville with a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities and African American Theatre. She was a member of First Gethsemane Baptist Church and a retired administrator. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playwriting and acting. Margaret was preceded in death by her husbands, James Freemon Howell and William A. Foster, Jr.; her brother, Willie H. "Sonny" Moore; and her son, Keith A. Howell.

Margaret is survived by her children, Dana Harvey (Jon) and Edgar Howell (Bridget); grandchildren, Shayne Howell and Xavier Howell; and a host of relatives and friends.

Services are private.

Memorials may be made to First Gethsemane Baptist Church, the James Graham Brown Center or Hosparus.
