Marcia Gaye Taylor, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025. She was surrounded by her family, the people whom she loved, when she decided to rest.
Marcia came into this world on October 15, 1952 in Louisville, KY. She was preceded in death by Harold and Carrol Margulis and her brother, David Margulis, one of four children.
Marcia is survived by her loving husband Dwight, children, John Taylor and (Dee Dee), Molly Taylor, two grandchildren: Morgan Taylor and Griffin Wintergerst, sisters: Stacy Heller (Woody), Linda Martinez (Mike), niece: Ashley Heller-McGonigal (Ryan), nephews: David Martinez and Justin Martinez. She is also survived by a host of extended family and friends that loved her dearly and will miss her forever.
Marcia retired from the United States Army after 23 years in service with the rank of Major. She graduated from the University of Louisville, earning her Master’s Degree and L.S.W. from the Kent School. She was a dedicated mother and raised her daughter, Molly, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a superstar, largely unnoticed, but with a remarkable spirit and had a unique personality. She was always there to give you advice whether you wanted it or not, but you were always grateful for the love that came from that advice. Marcia was everything, all of the time, to so many people and will always be missed.
