Mamie L. Russell-Cousin, 70, departed her Earthly life on Saturday, January 5, 2013.
Mamie was born on March 8, 1942 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Ruthalean Russell-Mosley. She confessed her life to Christ at Greater Life Temple. Mamie was a 1959 graduate of New Albany High School. It was there that she met her high school sweetheart and future husband, John E. Cousins. Mamie went on to work many years at New Albany Care Center & later retired from New Albany High School as an environmental technician.
Mamie leaves to cherish her memory, her six loving children, Timothy Russell (Linda), John Cousin, Jarman Cousin-Davey, Tracy Cousin-Ballard, Diane Cousin-King, Michelle Cousin-Ramos (Julian); brothers, Robert Mosley (Angelica) & Ronnie Mosley (Tina); sister, Felicia Bryant; 8 grandchildren, Jeremy, William, Anton, Terrell, Ebony, Julius, Micah, & Zachariah; and 1 great grandson, Braelyn Lee. Along with her mother, she is preceded in death by her sister, Betty J. Booker Starks.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM Friday at the funeral home.
