Mabel Marie LaMonica

  Mabel Marie LaMonica, 101, of Louisville, KY, passed away on December 6, 2024, after a brief illness. Born on December 31, 1922, in Irvington, KY, Marie was the daughter of the late Lannie and Maude (Mattingly) Poole.

  She graduated from high school in Breckinridge County, KY. Marie dedicated many years serving as the school secretary at Camp Taylor Elementary School in Louisville, KY. Marie was a member of Parkland Baptist Church.

  She is survived by her three children, Rose Estill (John), Robert Preston LaMonica (Vicki) and Joe LaMonica, Jr., along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers, Harold Poole, Carl Edward Poole and Robert Earl Poole.

  There will be a Memorial Service at the BeeHive Home of Smyrna, where she has resided the last years of her life. The service will be held on January 20, 2025, at 2:00PM.
