Lynn Zumwalt Ruck

May 11, 1940 — March 18, 2023

Lynn Zumwalt Ruck, of Louisville, was born May 11, 1940, in Alameda CA, and died unexpectedly on March 18, 2023.

Lynn moved to Louisville at age 16, graduated from Eastern High School, the University of Louisville, and married her high school sweetheart, Jack. She was a daughter, sister, cousin, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, and loving friend to so many.

She was a founding member of PEO Chapter Q - KY in 1974, where she remained active for almost 50 years. She served in nearly every leadership role in the chapter, and a few leadership positions in the state PEO organization. She dearly loved her sisters in PEO. She liked doing just about anything, as long as she was with people she cared about, but she particularly enjoyed travel, fly fishing, reading, taking walks, cooking dinner for friends, and visiting with family. She was well known for her Christmas cinnamon rolls, and those of you that were lucky enough to receive them know what we mean.

She is survived by her three children, son Mark (Amy) Ruck, and grandchildren Jackson (Rachel) Ruck and Justin (fiancée Haley) Ruck of St. Louis, MO; daughter Lea Ann (Clay) Robinson and grandchildren Taylor Robinson and Kevin Robinson of Pray, MT; son Matt Ruck of Moscow, ID and grandchildren JP Ruck, Katherine Ruck, Jack Ruck, Caroline Ruck, and their mother Roxanne Ruck of Boise, ID; and her cats Stella and Luna.

She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Jack Ruck; her parents Otis and Ladeane Zumwalt and her sister Laddie (Mark) Sullivan.

A Celebration of Life Open House will be held later this spring.
