Lucille (Zimmerman) Borden Griffey, 100, a devoted wife and beautiful woman, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014. Lucille was also a caring mother and grandmother. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing the piano.
She was born on November 20, 1913 in Lebanon, Indiana to the late John T. and Alice (Miller0 Zimmerman. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, Hearl Griffey, Charles Borden; children, Lorena DePue, Donna Notman, Joseph Borden; and sister, Pearl.
She is survived by her children, Sandy Lawton (Herbert), Terry Griffey (Vicki); 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 15, 2014 from 9 AM to 11 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN) with her Funeral Service taking place at 11 AM at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
