Louise J. Allen

Louise J. Allen, age 92 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Louise joined church at a very young age and was a dedicated member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist church, where she served her Lord and Savior for many years. She worked for Leggett and Platt for several years before retiring. Louise J. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Allen Sr. "Babe"; parents, Jesse James Bailey and Cleo Smith Bailey; brother, JC Bailey; son, James Edward Bailey; and grandson in love, Vincent Crutcher Jr.

Louise is survived by her daughters, Marcia Louise Allen and Deborah Allen Payne (Carroll); son, Glen Allen Jr. (Donnette); sister, Dorothy Hannah Jones; grandchildren, Timothy Payne, Whitney Payne, Brittany Payne, Breanna Allen and Damon Allen; step-granddaughter, Tanya Payne; great-grandchildren, Amyra Allen, Aniyah Allen, Ayanna Cochran and Vincent Crutcher III; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 4 to 6pm on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, with a celebration of Louise's life at 6pm. Visitation will also be on Saturday, January 27th from 11am to 1pm (Central Time) at Grace Memorial Funeral Home, 501 Broad Street in Sheffield, Alabama, with burial to follow at Bailey's Chapel Cemetery in Killen, Alabama.
