Louis Lone

Louis F. Lone, 72, of New Albany passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at his residence. Louis was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Faith & Love Church in New Albany.

He was born on August 3, 1938 in Corydon, Indiana to the late Kenneth Ray and Bessie (Fauts) Lone. He is also preceded in death by his children, Connie F. Bell, Gloria, Louis Floyd and Louis Leon Lone, and brothers, Earl and Leroy Lone.

Louis is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Altha M. (Thompson) Lone; daughters, Connie Rose Berry and her husband, Kenneth of New Albany, Altha G. Melead and her husband, Mike of Louisville, Kentucky, Dale Barrios and her husband, Ren Rickey of Charlestown, Indiana, and Lena R. McDaniels of Jeffersonville, Indiana; sons, Dennis L. Thompson, Tony N. Thompson, both of New Albany, Chreighton H. Criswell and his wife, April of Clarksville, Indiana, and; sisters, Bonnie Sowders of New Albany, Zella Pearl Perice of Iowa; brothers, Kenny Lone, Jr. and his wife, Marilyn of New Albany and Thomas Lone and his wife, Ms. Green of Louisiana; 25 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

His Visitation will be from 1 to 5 PM on Sunday, August 15 at Newcomer Funeral Home (formerly Generations Funeral Home at 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). The Funeral Service will be 11 AM on Monday, August 16 in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at Newcomer Funeral Home in New Albany followed by burial at Glenwood Cemetery in Elizabeth, Indiana.
