Louis Alan Dixon

Louis Alan Dixon, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023. Louis was a loving father and grandfather, devoted husband, beloved big brother, and a friend to all and a gentle soul who was loved by many. He is a veteran in the Air Force and served his country with honor and courage. He is a Mason and a member of Shawnee lodge 830. He was extremely patriotic and loved his country.His passion was pick up trucks, eagles, country music, meeting with his friends at DQ. He also loved spending time with his family especially his grandkids. Louis will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on September 17, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky to Louis and Katherine (Clifford) Dixon. He is preceded in death by his Wife, Freda Louise Dixon, Father, Louis H Dixon, Mother, Katherine L. Dixon, and Brother, Larry Dixon.

Louis is survived by his loving family, Children, Mike A. (Chiara) Dixon, Norman Goodwin, and Melinda Sanders; Grandchildren, Maranda (Kelson) Dixon, Marissa (Jacob) Dixon, Julia (Jeffrey) McCubbin, Alexander Barber, Jeremy Goodwin, Ashley Adams, Amber Adams, and Justin Adams; Great-Grandson, Baylor Griffiths; Sister, Velma (Don) Dixon-Cox; Niece, Tonia R. (Don) Shireman; Great-Nieces, Suzanne (Gene) Lafoe and Valerie (Steven) Lange, as well as a host of family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Celebration of Life Service will be at 5:00 pm on Sunday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
