Loretta Frances Ferguson

Loretta Frances Ferguson, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 18, 1930 to the late Leslie Taylor Reece and Bertha Reen Reece.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Reverend William Kenneth Ferguson; sisters, Maxine Sylvia Pitcock and Dorothy Gilley.
Frances is survived by her beloved children, Carolyn (Michael) Ross, Sylvia Kay (Daniel) Shawgo and Janice Lynn (Boyce Day) Poston; brothers, Leslie Paul (Evelyn) Reece, Homer Reece, Norman Reece and Wendell Reece; grandchildren, David (Ava) Ross, Christopher (LeAnn) Ross, Nicholas (Amanda) Shawgo, Amanda Davis, and Jonathan Shawgo; several great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends who will greatly miss her.
A celebration of Frances' life will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272. The family will receive friends on Friday also from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
