Loren Lee Goldman

Loren Lee Goldman, 85, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022. He retired in 1996 after working 42 years with Southern Railway and Norfolk Southern Railway. Loren was a member of Christ Community Church in New Albany. He was an avid fan of Indiana University basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. In retirement, one of Loren's greatest joys was spending time with his grandsons.

He was born on May 26, 1937, in Mifflin, Indiana, to Odis and Gay (Pavey) Goldman. In addition to his parents, Loren was preceded in death by his daughter, Suzanne Lea Goldman; and brother, Wayne Goldman.

Loren is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lucille (Underhill) Goldman; sons, John (Emily) and Jeff (Christi) Goldman; grandsons, Josh and Caleb Goldman; and sisters, Mary Lou (Don) Walker and Debbie (Fred) Overfield.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Mifflin Cemetery in Mifflin, Indiana.
