London Ellory Mathis

London Ellory Mathis, age 18, was born on February 18, 2000 in Louisville, Kentucky to Anthony and Carmen Mathis. She met her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Norton Children's Hospital. London was a senior at Kentucky Country Day school, where she had attended since kindergarten. She had been accepted and set to attend Clemson University and study genetics as a premed Major. London was president of the Black Student Union, a captain of the track team, and enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, shopping, makeup, traveling, and hanging with friends.

London is survived by her parents, Anthony and Carmen Mathis and brother, Anthony "JR" Mathis, II, grandparents, Robert and Maureen Mathis and William C. and Della J. Phillips, Aunt Meagan Phillips, Uncle Darryl E. Mathis (Tiffany), Uncle Carlos Phillips (LaTonya), Cousins Sydney and Solomon Mathis, CJ, Ben, Dru and Shelby Phillips, Jalayla Huguely and Jameson Phillips and a multitude of extended family and friends, including her best friend, Holly Johnson along with the Kentucky Country Day community.

Visitation will be 2 - 4:30 pm on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Parkway, Louisville, KY 40243, with a celebration of London's life at 4:30 pm.

Donations can be made to Norton Children's Hospital Foundation in memory of London Mathis, 234 E. Gray St., Suite 450, Louisville, KY 40202.
