Lois "Jean"(Schmitt) Wolfe

Lois J. (Schmitt) Wolfe, 89, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at her home. She was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church in Floyds Knobs, Indiana and retired from Airguard in New Albany.

Lois was born on October 6, 1923 in Harrison County, Indiana to the late Perry and Flora (Richert) Schmitt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Wolfe; siblings, Orville and Wayne Schmitt, Helen Harmling, and Mary L. "Peggy" Steele.

She is survived by her children, Betty Jean Wolfe, Flora Dian Jacobi (Larry), Charles Walter Wolfe (Carolyn); grandchildren, Angela Carter (Joe), Melissa Happel, Kim Harbison (Greg), Dean A. Jacobi; and great-grandchildren, Jacob and Nickalos Carter, MaKenzie, Erica Ackermann, Nathan, Jessica, and Alivia Harbison.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 PM on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and after 10 AM on Friday at church. Lois' Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Friday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (Chapel) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
