Lois D. (Lowe) Ellis

Lois D. (Lowe) Ellis, 73, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023. She was a longtime member of Maranatha Baptist Church. Lois was a great mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends, enjoyed playing cards, reading and was fond of her cat, YumYum.

She was born on September 29, 1950 in Pikeville, Kentucky to Burgess and Janie (Moore) Lowe. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Caines Lowe and Bonnie Jean Lowe.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Abbott (Gabriel); grandchildren, Grace, Gwyneth, Giulia, Gabriel Abbott; sisters, Judy Lowe Williamson (Billy), Helen Lowe; brother, Dewey Lowe (June); and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Lois' wish was to be cremated and a celebration of her life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Maranatha Baptist Church (2935 Holmans Lane, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
