Lois R. Davis

Lois R. Davis, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.

She was born on January 14, 1934 in Louisville, Kentucky to James and Daisy (Snelling) Carman. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D. Davis , Jr., and her sister Jean Movious. Lois is survived by her loving family, sons, Darrell (Cynthia) Davis and Terry Kent Davis, grandchildren, Darrell (Brittany ) Davis , Jr., and Lori (Gillie) Melton, and her great grandchildren, Daxton, Kaylee and Tripp.

Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a hardworking woman; working for American Tobacco, and then retiring from Lorillards Tobacco and then Churchill Downs. In her later years she enjoyed living a quite life at home.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, February 2lst at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A memorial service will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest privately at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
