Lisa Kay Rogge, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on October 20, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on October 16, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, Lisa's heart warmed the lives of those around her.
Lisa was a devoted partner to her husband of 51 years, James "Bob" Rogge, Jr. Their relationship was a beautiful testament to enduring love; truly, they never did anything without each other. Through the years, they built a life filled with shared experiences, laughter, and mutual support, creating a bond that served as an inspiration to all who knew them.
She is survived by her two sons, Matthew W. Rogge and Adam (Lauren) Rogge. Lisa found immense happiness in celebrating the milestones of her children and later, the vibrant lives of her grandchildren, Brynne, Lainey, and Ethan. The laughter shared during family gatherings and the warmth of her grandchildren's hugs were treasures she held dear.
A passionate reader and lover of movies, Lisa found magic in stories and films, which often became a delightful backdrop for her family time. You could find her curled up with a good book or enjoying a cozy movie night with her beloved dogs, Maggie and Meeka, who were constant companions and sources of comfort throughout her life.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Von Emerson Bodine and Augusta Marie Cofer Bodine; and her sister, Shirley Ann Bodine.
As we remember Lisa, let us celebrate the legacy of her warmth and love that will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through the many lives she touched.
Cremation was chosen following Lisa's wishes and no services will be held at this time.
