Lindsay W."Bump" Brooks
Mr. Lindsay (Bump) Brooks, age 83 of Middletown, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011. He was a 25 year member and former Assistant Chief of the Middletown Fire Department and was a 72 year member of Middletown Christian Church.
Bump is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Helen; children, Linda (Tootie) Whittemore (Richard), Donna Rae Kapp (Jim); brother, Gene Paul Brooks (Jean Ann); grandchildren, Jimmy, Kelly, Michael and Kevin; great-grandchildren, Brady, Joanna, Evan, Lennon, Gavin, Maddie and Kaitlyn.
Funeral ceremony will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Middletown Christian Church, 500 N. Watterson Trail with burial in Middletown Historic Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 pm Saturday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive and from 1-2 pm Sunday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Crusade for Children c/o Middletown Fire Department.
