Linda Kaye (Rankin) Wibbels , 73, dedicated Army wife of 23 years, loving mother and Nana, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was a 1966 graduate of Providence High School. Linda enjoyed traveling and was known for her excellent cooking.
She was born at St. Edward's Hospital in New Albany, Indiana on July 29, 1948. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Thelma (Keeley) Rankin, Helen (King) Rankin Jeffries; and grandson, Christopher Linderman.
Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ron Wibbels; daughters, Deborah Lynn Linderman (Chris), Michelle Lynn Heitz (Steve); siblings, Michael Rankin (Tony Clark), Patricia Martin (Dennis); grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Sanders (Justin), Raini Lynn Heitz (Ryan), Reagan Richey (Haley), Jorah Lynn Heitz (Brady), Griffin Heitz; and great-grandson, Landon Sanders.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 9:00 a.m. Her funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
