Linda D. Marshall

Linda D. Marshall, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. A devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, Linda held her faith and family close to her heart. Known for her louder than life personality, she brought joy, laughter, and music into the lives of everyone who knew her. Her spirit and lively presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to experience her infectious energy.

Born on August 20, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky, Linda was the daughter of Raymond and Dolores (Hester) Martin. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Raymond and Dolores, her husband Sonny Marshall, her daughter Rita Marshall, and her siblings Sherry Brown and Rusty Martin.

Linda is survived by her cherished family, including her children Kenny (Paula) Marshall, Melissa Marshall, and Loretta (Ken) Downs; her grandchildren Hayden Marshall and Lorie Anderson; her sister Sue (Shelby) Summerville; as well as nieces Chelsea Miles and Tonya (Jim) Schoenbaechler, great-nephew Parker Miles, cousins Tracey (Scott) Nelson and Matthew Nelson, along with many other family members and friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the same location, with burial to take place at Mount Holly Cemetery in Fairdale, Kentucky.
