Linda Ann Berry, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.
She was born on April 13, 1939 in Millersburg, Kentucky to Marion Dills and Naomi Ruth Purcell. Linda retired from Hartord Insurance in 2001 and enjoyed a second career working in the bakery and deli at Kroger in Plainview for 15 years. Linda loved to bake, crochet, and was an avid reader.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Billy Layson Purcell; and her son, Douglas Jerome Berry.
Linda is survived by her son, David Berry; daughters, Tamara Berry and Bobbi Jo Smith (Chris); and numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 and from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Linda's memory can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
