On Monday, October 7, 2013, Linda L. (Green) Alton entered eternal peace, with members of her family by her side.
She was an employee of New Albany/Floyd County School System and worked in the Bakery Department of Floyd Central High School for 17 years before she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her family & friends, traveling, & listening to Elvis. Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Alton; and her parents, Orville & Laverne Green.
Linda is survived by her children, Jeff Alton, 47, of Jeffersonville, IN, Joey Alton, 43, of Mt. Washington, KY, & Dena Werle, 42, of Sellersburg, IN; and 5 grandchildren.
Her visitation will be from 1 to 8 PM on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 10 AM on Friday, October 11 with burial immediately following in Tunnel Hill Cemetery in Edwardsville, Indiana.
