Lillie Belle Dunbar

Lillie Belle Dunbar was born to the union of Charles and Eva Swearingen in Shepherdsville, Kentucky where she attended Bowman Valley School and attended Coppers Run Baptist Church. A perfect vision of God's love, a strong woman that was quiet, sweet, funny, and always quick to forgive.

Her move from Shepherdsville to Prospect, Kentucky as a young woman, she was introduced to the love of her life, Hacket Dunbar Sr. where they were married 65 years. She was a devoted housewife and always placed family first.

They joined Harrods Creek Baptist Church and she became an active member. Lillie was a part of the usher board, missionary society, choir, and a member of the neighborhood women's club. During this time, she had 4 children, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren which she has been given the names "GG" and "Granny".

On October 25, 2022, she gained her wings and went home to be with the Lord. She leaves her love to her children, Hacket Dunbar Jr., Ava Taylor, Angela Warfield, and Phillip Dunbar; her sisters, Charlotte and Jackie, as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243) from 12:00pm - 1:00pm with service to begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow taking place at Cave Hill Cemetery (701 Baxter Avenue, Louisville, KY 40204).
