Lillian "Faye" (Rockey) Durham Miller, 80, passed away on April 1, 2012. She was an active member of Grant Line UMC where she taught Sunday school for over 35 years. She was also involved in the Senior Citizen's Club in Salem, Indiana. Faye was a former employee of the Charlestown powder plant and a former owner of Durham Guttering.
Faye was born on November 15, 1931 in Borden, Indiana to the late Leroy P. and Mary "Goldie" (Monroe) Rockey. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jesse W. Durham, Jr.; brothers, Fred, Paul, and Jimmy Rockey.
She is survived by her husband, Paul E. Miller; sons, William Durham and Michael Durham (Dawn); step-children, Gregg Miller (Sherry), Kristi Rothbauer (Andy), Karen Kirtley (Otis), Scott Miller (Donna), Dennis Miller (Carol); siblings, Annetta Sutton (James), Shelia Rockey, Hubert Rockey (Sandy); 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and from 9 AM to 11 AM on Thursday at Grant Line UMC (4810 Grant Line Road, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Thursday at the church with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grant Line UMC Cemetery Fund.
