Lila M. (Smith) McDonald, 92, passed away on July 16, 2012. She was born on March 11, 1920 in Logan County, KY to the late Daniel and Bessie (Bernardi) Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Elbert McDonald, Charles P. Knowles; and grandson, Ben Pierce.
She is survived by her children, Peggy Pierce (Earl), Ken Johnson (Mary Lou), Charles "Pat" Knowles, Dan Knowles (Linda), Cecelia Siebert (Jim), Mark Knowles (Judy); 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be Noon to 8 PM on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the March of Dimes.
