Lester Wayne Smith

Lester Wayne Smith, 63, of Clarksville, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 3, 2023. He was long-time faithful member of The Church of God in Elizabeth, Indiana.

He was born on February 7, 1960 in New Albany, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Smith, Sr.; and his brother, David Lee Smith.

Lester is survived by his mother, Helen Payton Carter; brother, Walter (Sandy) Smith, Jr.; nephew, Chad Smith; and sister-in-law, Susan Smith.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at The Church Of God (5470 Main Street, SE, Elizabeth, IN 47117). His Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, at the church with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
