Lester G. Timberlake, 83, of Lanesville, Indiana passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014. He retired in 1991 from Burt R. Huncilman & Son in New Albany. Lester was a very talented carver and artist.
Lester was born on May 30, 1930 in Harrison County, Indiana to the late Joseph M. and Esther (Lockman) Timberlake. He was also preceded in death by his son, Glen Timberlake.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Norma J. (Long) Timberlake; children, Michael Timberlake, Nettie Starr Smith (Larry); sisters, Evelyn McRae, Dora Seeley, Rose Davis, Betty Woertz (Wayne); grandchildren, George Timberlake, Len Timberlake, Catherine Smith, Melanie Henderson, Margaret Smith; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen following Lester's wishes. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Mt. Zion UMC. Burial will be at Edwardsville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Zion UMC (3465 Highway 11, Lanesville, IN 47136).
