Leslie Suzanne Wilkerson, 36, passed away on August 9, 2013 at Hillcrest Village in Indiana.
Leslie was born on May 7, 1977 in Hardinsburg, Kentucky. She was always a free spirit and lived life on her own terms. Her enthusiasm and love for life was contagious. She was always making people around her laugh. Even during her battle with stomach cancer, she remained positive and continued to crack jokes, never losing her sense of humor. Everyone who knew her loved her.
She is survived by her father, Phillip C. Wilkerson; mother, Linda; sisters, Heather Lee & Ivy Wilkerson; brothers, Phillip S. Wilkerson, Travis Zweibohmer, & Jacob Zweibohmer; papaw, Sherman Wilkerson; grandmother, Ramona Schroeder and also, by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a nephew, Kairo.
There will be a celebration of life for Leslie S. Wilkerson held at 7 PM, Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Emmanuel Baptist Church (809 Springdale Drive, Jeffersonville, IN 47130) with a time for sharing stories and memories with family and friends. Cremation was chosen following Leslie's wishes.
