Leroy "Buck" Klusmeier

Leroy "Buck" Klusmeier, 69, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

He was born on February 13, 1953, in New Albany, Indiana, to Leroy and Frances (Amacher) Klusmeier. Buck was raised and educated in New Albany. He was raised by his grandparents, Alfred and Clara Amacher, who he loved dearly. He married the love of this life, Deborah, on November 11, 1977, in Greenville, Indiana. He started his career as a truck driver and then joined the carpenters union as a master carpenter in 1985, retiring in 2002. He farmed his whole entire life on the family farm and loved gardening. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and anything outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred and Clara Amacher; father, Leroy Alvin Klusmeier; mother, Frances Hardin; sister, Linda Zimmerman; and furbabies, Harlee, and Bailey.

Buck is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Deborah Klusmeier; son, Kevin Klusmeier; daughter, Stacy (Matt) Holland; son, Spencer Davis; daughter, Kristi (Wayne) Cahill; daughter, Heather (James) Pennington; daughter, Holly (Sunny) Klusmeier; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchildren; furbabies, Baby Girl, Benny, Bear, and Coconut; brother, Gene Klusmeier; brother, Dennis Klusmeier; and sister, Mary Ann Thomas.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, with burial to follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.

The family requests that contributions in Buck's memory be made to the James Graham Brown Cancer Center.
