Leonard Oviedo, age 96 of LaGrange, KY, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013. Leonard was born September 20, 1916 in Yorktown, TX and grew up in Chicago, IL. He was a proud World War II veteran, serving his country in the Army.
Leonard was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Oviedo; and son, Carl Oviedo.
He is survived by his daughters, Renee Rommel and Sharon Meabon; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
Visitation will be held from 3pm to 8pm, Monday, March 25, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243. Funeral service will be 12:30pm Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Resthaven.
Memorial donations may be made to Hosparus of Louisville in Leonard's name.
