Leona (Jameson) Trowbridge, 77, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. She attended Calvary Temple Church in Austin, Indiana. Devoted to her faith and family first and foremost, she enjoyed the fine arts of cooking, reading, and music.
Leona was born in Central City, Kentucky, on June 28, 1936 to the late Charles Jameson and Myrtle (Johnson) Courtous. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Alta Marie Jameson.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Trowbridge; children, Robert Trowbridge (Sharon), Linda Trowbridge Ostertag, Luke Davis, Vivian Pruett (Harold), and Bonita Trowbridge Humphreys (Chuck); brothers, Charles, Lonnie, and Jimmy Jameson; grandchildren, Bryan Trowbridge, David Bruce, Amy Trowbridge, Dustin Waggoner, Keri Hislip (Aaron), Mikey Ostertag (Sarah Fraim), Alan Wade Waggoner, Kyle Dickey, Nolan Pruett, Savannah Pruett, Tyler Humphreys, and Luke Humphreys; great grandchildren, Dawson Bruce, Jasmine Shepherd, Coty Waggoner, Nathaniel Spicer, Trevor Shepherd, Hannah Hurtt, Abigail Waggoner, Parker Bruce, Hunter Waggoner, and Josie Trowbridge.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 4 to 8 PM and 12 to 1 PM on Saturday at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 1 PM at the funeral home with burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington, Indiana.
