Lenora Pearl (Davis) Bowe, 79, passed away on June 28, 2013.
Lenora was born on August 9, 1933 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Joseph & Gertrude (Brim) Davis. She was united in marriage to George G. Bowe on October 9, 1951 and spent 60 wonderful years with him until his death in 2012. Lenora was a long time member of St. Joseph Hill Catholic Church. She loved to quilt and spend time with her family but her true love was nurturing for the people she cared about. Lenora had a helping hand for so many people and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her son, George G. Bowe, Jr.; daughter, Beverly J. Bowe; daughter-in-law, Rochelle Bowe; brother, Dennis Davis (Sharon); grandchildren, Bruce, Dana, Aaron (Carlie), Adam, Amy, and Andrea Bowe, Michael Calvert, and Kendra Ford; great grandchildren, Savona and Chessa Bowe and Emily Ford. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George G. Bowe; son, Daral Bowe; sister, Wanda Hentrup; and grandson, Jordan Ford.
Her Memorial Mass will be 1 PM on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at St. Joseph Hill Catholic Church. Newcomer Funeral Home – New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Hill Catholic Church (2605 St. Joe Road West, Sellersburg, IN 47172).
