Lelah Faye(Lockman) Herman

Lelah Faye (Lockman) Herman, 82, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 at her home. She retired from the Census Bureau and was a long-time member of Heartland Nazarene Church in Floyds Knobs. Lelah enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go for walks.

She was born on August 8, 1932 in Floyds Knobs to the late Kenneth and Edna (Davis) Lockman. Lelah was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Herman; siblings, Lyda McWhirter, Mary Jean Pritchett, Norris and Cecil Lockman. She is survived by her daughter, Bethany Haymaker (Jerry); step-children, Danny Herman, Pamela King (Gary); grandchildren, David, Jerry Jr., and Michael.

Visitation will take place from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in New Albany.
