Leigh Ellen Pate, 68, former of Louisville, currently of Simpsonville, Kentucky, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. She was everyone's sweetheart.
She was born on December 19, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Charles "Red" Allen Harris and Dorothy Evelyn (Ayers) Harris. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Charles "Ed" Edward Harris, husband, Greg Pate, and daughter, Megan Hough.
Leigh was a member of Campbells Chapel United Baptist Church and loved the Lord, she was a graduate of Doss High School and worked at Humana, Cissell and The Tanning Salon, where she met Greg.
Leigh is survived by her cherished grandson, Noah Hough, who she loved more than life itself, nieces, Leslie Harris Pickrell (Jason), Haley Harris Gatewood (George), Elizabeth Harris Columbia, and great nephews, Jake and Luke Pickrell. She is also survived by her friend and caretaker, Valerie Marie (Barker) Lockard (Jimmy), along with lifelong friends and family who will all miss her dearly.
Per Leigh's wishes cremation was chosen and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
