Leah Marrillia

Leah Marie Marrillia, 20, of Lanesville, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Leah was born on September 1, 1992 in New Albany, Indiana to Scott D. Marrillia & Lisa Beth (Lohrstorfer) Sturgill. She was a 2011 graduate of Lanesville High School. Leah attended Spencerian College studying to become a Radiation Technician. She was a member of Lanesville United Methodist Church and New Life Christian Church, where she was active in multiple youth groups. Leah had a love for life and was cherished by many people.

She will be missed by her parents, Scott Marrillia & Lisa Sturgill; brother, Shelby Curtis Sturgill; sister, Hope Marrillia; aunts & uncles, Lisa McCoy (Mike), Kevin Marrillia, Tom Lohrstorfer (Cindy), Levon & Julie Hedden, Jerry Hiser, Jeff & Vickie Lohrstorfer, Chris & Mary Lohrstorfer, Scott Lohrstorfer, & Jerry Goodhue; grandmother, Ida Marrillia; and many other relatives & friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Tom & Eleanora Lohrstorfer, Clyde Marrillia; aunts, Nina Hiser, Missy Goodhue.

Her Visitation will be Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 1 to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 11 am Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at the funeral home with burial immediately following at Lanesville Protestant Cemetery in Lanesville, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Leah's name can be made to Kosair's Children's Hospital Foundation (Dept 86140, PO Box 950183, Louisville, KY 40295-0183).
