Lawton M. Wilson

Lawton M. Wilson, 85, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Lawton was a long time member of the Masons, he worked at the Suburban Lodge Fish Fry, enjoyed his morning coffee each morning with his buddies and co-workers. He Worked for Durkee Foods/Louisville Edible Oils, Amour Meat Company, Golden Foods and also refrigeration service. Mr. Wilson(Murphy)is a Heart Transplant Patient. He received his New Heart in 2000', and thanks to Jewish Hospital Transplant Team, he lived for 23 MORE Years!

He was born on March 14, 1938 in Lewisburg, Kentucky to McKinley and Edna (Bivins) Wilson. He is preceded in death by his Father, McKinley Wilson, Mother, Edna Earl Wilson, and Brother, Gilman Wilson.

Lawton is survived by his loving family, Sons, Mark D. (Susan) Wilson, Sr. and Christopher M. Wilson; Grandson's, Jason (Nikki) Smith and Mark Wilson, Jr.; Great-Grandchildren, Joycelyn, Mathew, and Adalynn; Sister, Sharon (Jeff) Yontz.

His Service will be at 1:00 pm CST on Tuesday, at New Harmony General Baptist Church (17299 Greenville Rd. Lewisburg, KY 42256) with burial to follow at New Harmony - Bivin Cemetery in Lewisburg, KY.
