Lawrence Gilbert Minter, Jr.

Lawrence Gilbert "Bud" Minter, Jr. 79, of Hudson, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Bud was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid UK fan. Bud was a long-time employee of General Electric and retired after 30 years from G.E Building One. He had countless friends and never met a stranger. Bud enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, and playing cards. He loved joking around and would tell you like it is. Bud will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on January 21, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to Lawrence and Marie (Vonkanel) Minter. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Billie Minter; son, Perry Minter; step-son, Mike Carlysle; grandson, James Netherton; granddaughter, Tiffany Carlysle; and his son-in-law, Wayne Dotson.

Bud is survived by his loving family, children, Lauren Dotson, Lisa Minter, Michael (Missy) Minter, Kenny (Valerie) Minter; step-children, Cheryl (Bruce) Harned, Craig (Danyele) Carlysle, Timmy (Kim) Carlysle; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. His Funeral Service will be on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
