Lawrence Martin

Lawrence E. "Larry" Martin, 67, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2011. Larry was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army who served in the 101st Airborne in Vietnam. He was born on December 28, 1943 in Elizabeth, Indiana to the late William C. and Altha Mae (Langsdon) Martin. Larry was also preceded in death by his siblings, George and Homer Martin and Alma Pease.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Judy E. (Garland) Martin; children, Scott Martin and his wife, Veronica, of Vancouver, Washington, Barry Martin and his wife, Nancy, of New Albany, Indiana, Marilyn Meadows of New Albany, Rehonna Davis and her husband, Eddie, of Elizabeth; brother, Frederick Martin of Alton, Indiana, sisters, Edna M. Bullington of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Wilma Brown of Elizabeth, Jane Nichols of New Albany; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

The family chose cremation. A memorial graveside service will be 1 PM Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
