Lawrence Daniel "Danny" Gibson, 71, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022. He was a United States Army veteran and retired from Pillsbury in New Albany after 33 years of employment. Danny enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, and friend to many.
He was born on April 16, 1951, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to John and Verda (Dilley) Gibson. In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his brothers, James "Jimbo," Anthony "Bud," David, and John Wayne Gibson.
Danny is survived by his wife, Linda Gibson; children, Dawn Saunders (Adam), Laura Keith (Eric), Marea Gibson (Jason Cole), and Aaron Byers; stepdaughter, Kayla Berger (William); brother, Mike Gibson (Cathy); sister, Verdeen Gibson; grandchildren, James Kennedy, Dakota and Elizabeth Skaggs, Jacob Whitehead, Peyton Keith, Travis, Darian, and Stevie Montgomery, Sara, Miranda, and Alicia Saunders, Eric Byers, and Lucas and Miles Berger; and ten great-grandchildren.
Danny's wish was to be cremated, and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105) or to Shriner's Hospital for Children - Love to the Rescue (P.O. Box 1525, Ranson, WV 25438).
