Laura Elizabeth Fugett

Laura Elizabeth Fugett, age 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, departed this life on the evening of February 13, 2025. Born on November 14, 1948, in the vibrant heart of Louisville, she was the cherished daughter of the late Thurston and Sally (Stallard) Alexander.

Laura's life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Angela (Leonard) Vetter, and her beloved grandchildren, Ramon Maurice (Rachael) Spinks and Trinity Bybee. The joy of her life also extended to her great-grandchildren, Raielle M. Spinks, Davion Spinks, and Tyler Funk, along with her sister, Sherlene Alexander and her favorite niece, Terri Burton. Together with her family, Laura leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be felt by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who have had the privilege of knowing her.

A proud graduate of Central High School, Laura devoted her career to nursing, exemplifying a spirit of compassion and commitment as a traveling nurse. Her thirst for adventure took her wherever help was needed, showcasing her nurturing nature that defined both her professional and personal life. Beyond her career, Laura treasured her role as a grandmother, particularly enjoying the special bond she shared with her grandson, Ramon.

Laura found joy in the simple pleasures of life; whether watching her favorite stories or indulging in sci-fi movies, she always kept her sense of humor at the forefront. Her faith in God fortified her spirit, providing peace and comfort throughout her life.
